Further, the main goal of the field kit is to find out the size of the population drinking contaminated water above 0.05 µg/l. But from the Table-2 and 3 of the report of NEERI/WHO it is found (our Table-X) that, out of 24 water samples analysed from arsenic affected villages of Bangladesh and West Bengal, 6 samples measured for arsenic by ICP method of NEERI show arsenic between 0.098 and 0.17. But all the field kits reported below detection limit of the kits (except sample no 3 of Bangladesh by AAN ).

On the basis of Table-X, shall we say all the five field kits (1) AAN, (2) E-Merck, (3) Aqua, (4) NIPSOM, (5) AIIH&PH are not suitable when the presence of arsenic in groundwater is between 0.098 and 0.170 µg/l.
