School of Environmental Studies has organized the International Conference on “Arsenic in groundwater: Cause, Effect and Remedy” in Calcutta on 6-8 February 1995.

School of Environmental Studies jointly with Dhaka Community Hospital-Bangladesh had organized four international conferences on,

(a) "Arsenic pollution of groundwater in Bangladesh: Causes, Effects and Remedies" in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 6-8, 1998.

(b) "Safe water for life" in Dhaka, Bangladesh on May 13-14, 2000.

(c) "Arsenic contamination of groundwater in Bangladesh: Cause, Effect and Remedy" in Dhaka, Bangladesh on January 12-13, 2002.

(d) 5th international conference on "Arsenic: Developing Countries Perspective on Health, Water, Environmental issues" in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 15-18, 2004.

(e) 6th international conference on ”Safe water and safe food option in arsenic mitigation: lesson learned” in Dhaka, Bangladesh on January 4-5, 2006.
